Financial Manager (CA(SA)) – Group Reporting & Tax

About the role

A well‑established multi‑entity organisation based in Johannesburg is seeking a technically strong, hands‑on Financial Manager (CA(SA)) to partner with the CFO. The senior individual contributor role focuses on technical accounting, group reporting, financial modelling, tax strategy and strategic financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review group consolidated financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Manage technical accounting, IFRS compliance and complex accounting matters.
• Oversee group tax strategy and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Prepare board and shareholder reporting and provide strategic financial insights.

Required profile

• Registered CA(SA) with SAICA.
• Minimum 5 years post‑articles experience in financial management, technical accounting or corporate finance.
• Strong experience with group consolidations, IFRS, budgeting, financial modelling and South African tax legislation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in a multi‑entity environment; exposure to property, retail or trading sectors is advantageous.
