Financial Consultant – OMF Upington

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Financial Consultant to join its OMF team in Upington. You will provide advice on a specific range of financial products to an allocated market, ensuring high‑quality customer service and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service, handling routine inquiries and directing complex matters to colleagues.
• Assess compliance with established standards for routine inquiries and follow mandatory procedures.
• Receive visitors, provide information and refer more complex requests.
• Maintain accurate customer details in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify requirements.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers via phone or in‑person visits.
• Support business development tasks and assist colleagues following established procedures.
• Identify sales opportunities through referrals, recommendations and data exploration.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the company.
