Financial Adviser

About the role

The Financial Adviser will join Liberty Group South Africa’s Bloemfontein office, providing personalised financial guidance to a diverse client base. Working full‑time on‑site, you will help clients define their financial goals, assess their current situation and develop tailored plans that cover investments, retirement, risk cover and other solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand objectives and evaluate financial circumstances.
• Design and present customised financial plans, including investment and retirement strategies.
• Prepare proposals and manage an active client portfolio.
• Monitor market developments and adjust plans to reflect changing conditions.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with South African regulations and Liberty’s internal standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support teams to deliver integrated financial solutions.
• Achieve performance targets and meet deadlines while providing high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Demonstrated competence in financial planning and advisory.
• Strong foundation in finance, investments, risk, return and diversification.
• Experience in retirement planning and long‑term wealth management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting, business or related field; CFP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of South African financial regulations and ethical advisory standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using digital tools for financial planning, client management and reporting.
