Graduate Practice Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Graduate Practice Accountant to join our Bloemfontein office. This role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate with hands‑on experience in an accounting practice and a solid grasp of South African tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts and working papers for a diverse client portfolio.
• Process and reconcile accounting data across multiple software platforms.
• Handle tax compliance tasks, including calculations and submissions via SARS eFiling (ITR12, ITR14, VAT201, EMP201, etc.).
• Communicate with clients to address queries, gather documentation and meet compliance deadlines.
• Support senior accountants and partners with ad‑hoc accounting and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Completed degree or diploma in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Prior experience in an accounting or audit practice environment.
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Bloemfontein.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management skills and high integrity.
