Financial Adviser – Advancing Level 2

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser (Level 2) to join its Nelspruit team. You will provide tailored financial advice to an allocated market, manage client relationships and contribute to business growth through consultative selling.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service, handling routine inquiries and directing complex matters to senior colleagues.
• Assess compliance with internal standards and external regulatory codes for routine requests.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system and document follow‑up actions after each interaction.
• Interview clients using a multilevel sales script to clarify their financial needs.
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers through phone calls and face‑to‑face visits.
• Support business development activities and follow established procedures for sales opportunities.
• Identify new prospects through referrals, recommendations and data analysis.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the organisation.

Required profile

• Education: NQF Level 5 – Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate (or equivalent).
• Competencies: balances stakeholder interests, builds networks, communicates effectively, maintains customer focus, ensures accountability, instils trust, demonstrates interpersonal savvy and manages complexity.
