About the role

Join a cutting‑edge private surgical hospital in Johannesburg North as a Financial Accountant. You will work in the finance engine room, supporting accurate reporting, strong controls and sound financial decision‑making in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and financial reporting processes in a specialist surgical hospital.
• Maintain accurate reconciliations, controls and supporting records in line with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Assist with management accounts, budgeting support and audit preparation.
• Partner with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to enhance the quality and clarity of financial reporting.
• Contribute to a compliant, efficient finance function that supports sustainable growth and superior patient care.

Required profile

• BCom degree and completed articles.
• 2–3 years of commercial financial accounting experience.
• Healthcare or hospital exposure preferred, or experience in a similarly complex, regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and solid technical accounting skills.
• Comfortable working on‑site in a fast‑paced, specialist clinical environment.
• Proactive, professional and eager to grow in a high‑performance setting.
