Financial Accountant (Newly Qualified CA/CIMA) – Cape Town

About the role

I’m currently looking for an exceptional newly qualified CA(SA) or CIMA for a Financial Accountant opportunity with a high‑growth, innovative organisation based in Cape Town. This is not your typical Financial Accountant role. We need someone who is academically exceptional, commercially minded, technology and AI savvy, and ready to move from audit into a fast‑paced, high‑performing finance environment.

Required profile

• Newly qualified CA(SA) or CIMA
• 0–2 years post‑articles experience
• Articles completed with a Big 4 or leading audit firm (highly preferred)
• Exceptional academic track record – Cum Laude, Golden Key, Dean’s List, academic awards etc.
• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability
• Strong AI capability and a genuine understanding of how AI can be applied within finance
• Able to use AI to build scalable systems, automate processes and improve efficiencies
• Commercially curious and able to look beyond the numbers
• High attention to detail with the confidence to take ownership
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
