About the role

Icebolethu Group is expanding its finance team and seeks a permanent Financial Accountant responsible for preparing financial reports for assigned business units.

Key responsibilities

Process routine accounting entries, maintain supporting schedules, and assist in compiling Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
Execute monthly bank, petty cash, GL, and intercompany reconciliations alongside confirmation management.
Calculate VAT and Income Tax obligations and prepare timely, accurate tax returns.
Assemble schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits, enforce internal controls, and resolve financial discrepancies.

Required profile

B.Com in Accounting or a related financial qualification.
2 to 3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably within Financial Services or the Insurance sector.
Solid working knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Income Tax legislation.

Required skills

Intermediate MS Excel capabilities.
General MS Office fluency.
Knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Income Tax legislation.
