About the role
Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Financial Accountant to oversee the financial operations of a growing group of companies across multiple business units. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day financial accounting for several entities.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the Companies Act.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
- Handle foreign exchange and multi‑currency transactions.
Required profile
- Completed BCom/BCompt degree.
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
- Minimum three years post‑article experience in financial accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and the Companies Act.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Syspro ERP system.
- Understanding of foreign exchange and multi‑currency accounting.
- Experience with cross‑border financial operations.
