Finance & Procurement Manager

About the role

Wildtrust is looking for a Finance & Procurement Manager based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will report to the Finance & Procurement Manager and cover procurement oversight, budget reporting, vendor relations and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all procurement activities align with policies and budgets.
• Support procurement and evaluation processes and maintain transparent vendor relationships.
• Support teams through the procurement pipeline and help internal departments assess purchasing needs so goods and services are delivered on time.
• Generate monthly budget and procurement status reports.
• Facilitate vendor registrations within the procurement systems.
• Maintain accurate financial and procurement records, with proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Support the tagging, physical verification and lifecycle management of assets for the Trust.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance or a closely related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a similar finance/procurement role.
• Valid driver's licence with at least 3 years of driving experience and own transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency in an accounting system such as Sage 300 or similar.
• Strong understanding of supply chain policies and procedures, budgeting, supplier relations and financial performance monitoring.
• Multi-skilled across the procurement function, with good organisational, analytical and reconciliation skills, attention to detail and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
