Finance Operations Manager

About the role

Adept Advisory is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to lead its finance function and support a growing consulting business. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across payroll, invoicing, cash management and financial controls while partnering with business leaders to deliver insight and value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, cash management, employee expenses, fixed assets, general‑ledger integrity, working capital, inter‑company accounting and multi‑entity financial controls.
• Oversee a complex payroll environment for permanent staff, fixed‑term employees, consultants and varied remuneration structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Safeguard revenue by managing client invoicing, timesheet processing, revenue integrity, commercial controls and contract compliance.
• Build trusted relationships with business leaders to solve problems, improve processes and support decision‑making.
• Drive finance transformation through process optimisation, systems improvements, automation initiatives and enhanced reporting capabilities.
