Finance Manager – Payroll & Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Manager to oversee payroll and accounts payable for our global operations, including South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and India. The role will support the Senior Finance Manager with statutory compliance and the management of worldwide financial processes, offering strong growth potential for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payroll for South Africa and the United States, ensuring timely statutory submissions (UIF, SDL, SARS payments, EMP201/EMP501, IRP5 distribution).
• Assist with global payroll administration for entities in KSA, India, Dubai, Hong Kong and new locations.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, local submissions and US sales tax returns; coordinate with external advisors for VAT refunds.
• Manage South African statutory requirements such as CIPC filings and compensation commissioner returns.
• Support month‑end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliation, inter‑company charges and preparation of consolidated management accounts.
• Produce financial reports with commentary for senior management and assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable oversight.
• Mentor and supervise junior finance staff.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a senior finance role with a focus on payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles, processes and local tax legislation.
• Understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting standards.
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills across all organisational levels.
