About the role
The Sundays River Valley Municipality is offering five finance internship positions. Interns will be placed within the Budget & Treasury directorate and will support the municipality’s financial operations. The role is based at the municipal offices in Nqweba and follows the standard office hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in public‑sector finance. The municipality’s directorates include Budget & Treasury, Corporate Services, Infrastructure Planning and Development, Community Services and Public Safety, among others. Finance interns will have the chance to observe how annual budgets are prepared, how treasury functions are managed, and how financial regulations are applied in a local government context.
