Finance & Insurance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Finance & Insurance (F&I) Assistant to support the F&I Department of a reputable automotive dealership in Johannesburg. You will ensure that finance and insurance paperwork is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Finance & Insurance Manager.
• Prepare, capture, and process finance and insurance documentation.
• Compile finance applications and submit them to banks and finance houses.
• Verify customer information and ensure compliance with FICA, FAIS, NCR and dealership requirements.
• Prepare vehicle delivery files and manage registration and licensing paperwork.
• Liaise with banks, insurers, and internal departments to track approvals.
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records in dealership systems.
• Process extended warranty, maintenance, service plans and insurance documentation.
• Maintain organised filing systems for finance and compliance records.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• 2‑3 years of experience as an F&I Assistant or in automotive finance administration.
• Previous experience in a franchised automotive dealership.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle finance and insurance processes.
• Understanding of FICA, FAIS, NCR and POPIA regulations is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using dealership management systems such as Pinnacle, Automate, Autoline, Evolve, Kerridge or Drive.
