Finance Graduate - Accounts Payable & Treasury

About the role

NPC Huaxin is looking for a Finance Graduate to join its Finance Department at the Umhlanga head office, reporting to the AP & Treasury Manager. The graduate will be exposed to and developed in all areas of Treasury and Accounts Payable. The position is on a six-month fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Process creditor invoices in SAP according to NPC group standards
• Execute supplier payments, including local and cross-border payments
• Reconcile creditors as and when required
• Attend to and resolve internal and external queries from suppliers and customers
• Assist with banking and Treasury matters
• Ensure GRIR reports are cleared and accounts payable follow company policy and procedures
• Support month-end closing, audits and ad-hoc finance tasks
• Support SHEQ initiatives

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent
• SAQA-accredited accounting-related qualification
• 1 year of exposure to a financial environment
• Preferably based in Durban and surrounding areas

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (preferred)
• Attention to detail, analytical approach and time management
