Field Agent X50 - Funeral Assurance (Western Cape)

About the role

Icebolethu Group, a funeral assurance group and authorised financial service provider, is looking for Field Agents in Bellville, Khayelitsha, Kwa Langa, Gugulethu and Philippi in the Western Cape. The agents bring in new business by cold calling and selling Icebolethu funeral assurance products. Pay is by commission.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell funeral assurance policies to new and existing clients.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle client queries and complaints within agreed service levels.
• Execute customer retention strategies and proactively call clients to restructure, retain or resell existing policies.
• Negotiate contract renewals and policy retention with clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow proper administrative processes.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and FSCA regulations and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12; a relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• 1-2 years' experience in sales, customer service or field operations; funeral assurance, insurance or financial services experience preferred.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Proficiency in at least three official languages spoken in the relevant province.

Required skills

• Proven sales ability, including cross-selling and upselling.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Customer-centric approach, honesty and reliability, and ability to work independently.
