Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager will lead the end‑to‑end management of site services for Empact Group, overseeing both in‑house teams and subcontractors. The role ensures technical maintenance, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all site services, including buildings, equipment, infrastructure, and support services.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, service level agreements, and statutory regulations.
• Support bid processes and mobilisation of new business within the infrastructure portfolio.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and operational strategies.
• Monitor and report on site performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and replacement of site assets and equipment.
• Supervise outsourced service providers and ensure service quality.
• Manage cleaning operations, waste management, and occupational health & safety compliance.
• Control site budgets, labour, maintenance, materials, and consumables while maintaining service quality.
• Maintain stock control, resource planning, staffing levels, and effective rostering.
• Lead, develop, and manage site teams, ensuring training and appointment of First Aiders.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a relevant qualification in Commerce or Business Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities or Property Management.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial site environment.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hard services and technical management.
• Strong understanding of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).
• Proven operational experience at management level.
• Experience managing both technical and non‑technical teams.
• Valid driver’s licence.
