About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Medical Aid Authorisations Clerk to provide 2‑3 months maternity cover in a busy mammography practice. The successful candidate will hit the ground running, managing authorisations and supporting the practice’s administrative needs.

Key responsibilities

• Process medical aid authorisations for a range of procedures.
• Liaise directly with medical aid providers to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure authorisations are completed within required timeframes.
• Answer telephone enquiries and provide general administrative support.
• Assist with patient bookings and other departmental duties as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience with medical aid and procedure authorisations.
• Confident communication with medical aid representatives.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional, well‑spoken and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HealthBridge system.
• Proficiency in UMS system.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from R18,000 to R24,000 per month.
