Event Manager

About the role

The Events Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse events programme at a celebrated luxury farm estate in the Cape Winelands. This role blends creativity with operational excellence to ensure each event reflects the estate’s unique character and high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end event management from initial enquiry through post‑event review.
• Develop proposals and work directly with clients to translate briefs into memorable experiences.
• Collaborate with food & beverage, kitchen, housekeeping and farm teams for seamless execution.
• Manage logistics including suppliers, contractors, setup, timelines and on‑the‑day coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, invoicing and event documentation.
• Track performance and feedback to continuously improve the events programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in events coordination or management within luxury hospitality, wine estates or fine‑dining environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with guests, clients and internal teams.
• Creative thinker who can match experiences to the estate’s setting.
• Calm under pressure with a practical, hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
• Affinity for craftsmanship, seasonality, food, nature and quality.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with event management tools and general hospitality systems.
