About the role
Midvaal Local Municipality is hiring EPWP General Workers for various departments in Meyerton on a two‑year fixed‑term basis. The role is open to local residents and involves performing physical labour under supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Loading and off‑loading materials and equipment
- Placing traffic signs near municipal roadworks
- Cleaning work areas using manual tools
- Performing general labour duties as directed
- Following supervisors’ instructions and completing other assigned tasks
Required profile
- Grade 10 qualification
- Good physical health and ability to perform manual work
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate in two languages
- Hard‑working, self‑disciplined attitude
- 0–1 year of general worker experience
- Advantageous: Grade 12 and a valid driver’s licence
- Must be a resident of Midvaal; persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
