Enrolled Nurse - Psychiatric

About the role

Mediclinic is recruiting one Enrolled Nurse for its Denmar Specialist Psychiatric Hospital in Garsfontein, South Africa. This is a permanent, on-site position. The main purpose of the role is to deliver safe, quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Help create a learning environment that builds staff competence
• Ensure that all used stock and equipment are accurately charged

Required profile

• Essential: Enrolled Nurse certificate; no experience required
• Desired: 1 year of post-qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit
• For specialised wards, CPD courses in a specific specialty area are desired
• All applicants are considered, with preference given in line with the Employment Equity Plan and to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements
