Enrolled Nurse – Neonatal ICU

About the role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Neonatal ICU team at Mediclinic Medforum in Pretoria. The role focuses on delivering safe, quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice and supporting a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential).
• Preferably 1 year post‑qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support trained.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Nursing processes and procedures.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
• Nursing care plan skills.
• Risk identification.
