Enrolled Nurse - Emergency Care

About the role

Mediclinic Gariep in Kimberley, South Africa is recruiting one Enrolled Nurse for emergency care. The position is permanent and on-site, and the nurse delivers safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice, working with the multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all used stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential: Enrolled Nurse certificate.
• Desired: 1 year of post-qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit; for specialised wards, CPD courses in a specific specialty area.
• Applicants are considered on the basis of the Employment Equity Plan, with preference given to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements.
