Nursing Manager

About the role

Mediclinic Gariep in Kimberley, South Africa is recruiting a Nursing Manager for a permanent, on-site position. The Nursing Manager leads and directs the nursing service in the hospital, covering patient safety and patient experience, and the management of human and other resources. There is one position open.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, implement and monitor the hospital-specific nursing strategy
• Drive and support a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety
• Manage resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency
• Manage the patient experience
• Lead and manage people in the nursing department
• Manage key stakeholder relations

Required profile

• Essential: Professional Nurse qualification and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an accredited management qualification; a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing is required when managing a specialist hospital such as mental healthcare
• Essential: 5 years of professional nurse experience in a hospital and 3 years of nursing management experience
• Preference will be given according to Mediclinic's Employment Equity Plan, as well as to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements
