Enrolled Nurse – Digital Chest X‑Ray Study

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will support a Digital Chest X‑Ray study focused on tuberculosis screening. Working under the supervision of a project manager, you will ensure high‑quality clinical care while adhering to study protocols and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments, screen and enrol participants with presumptive TB.
• Collect specimens (phlebotomy, urine, sputum) and coordinate chest X‑ray procedures.
• Provide HIV counselling, testing and linkage to care when required.
• Complete case report forms and enter data into study databases accurately.
• Maintain specimen handling, storage and timely transport to laboratories.
• Monitor protocol adherence, GCP guidelines and report adverse events.
• Engage with community and clinics to support recruitment and retention.
• Collaborate with site investigators, laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Registered Enrolled Nurse in South Africa.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow South African Nursing Council Code of Conduct.
• Commitment to ethical research practices and Aurum Institute’s core values.
