Engineering Storeman

About the role

National Brands Limited is seeking an Engineering Storeman to support the engineering team at its Durban Tea Factory. The role focuses on sourcing, purchasing, and managing engineering equipment and services to ensure uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control store stock, including obsolete items.
• Perform month‑end compliance tasks and close off audits.
• Order spares according to specifications and verify receipts.
• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce stock loss.
• Conduct monthly stock takes in line with company policy.
• Liaise with the factory engineering manager before implementing new ideas.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and orderly stocking within the shop.
• Provide excellent service to production and engineering teams.
• Respond promptly to internal customer queries.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant storeman experience.
• Background in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with executives and senior management.
• Matric qualification in Stock‑Control Management or Warehouse Management.
• Certificate in Project Management (preferred).

Required skills

• SAP experience.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of stock‑control principles.
• Warehouse management practices.
• Basic project‑management methodology.
• Spare‑parts ordering.
