Economics & Accounting Lecturer

About the role

An established higher education institution is urgently seeking a qualified and passionate Economics & Accounting Lecturer to join their academic team in Centurion. The successful candidate must have a strong academic background in Economics and Accounting and be confident lecturing across relevant undergraduate modules.

Key responsibilities

• Lecture and facilitate classes in Economics, Accounting and related business modules.
• Prepare and deliver engaging academic content.
• Facilitate student learning and provide academic support.
• Prepare assessments, marking and academic feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic and student records.
• Ensure teaching and assessment practices meet institutional academic standards.
• Support students in achieving their academic objectives.
• Participate in relevant academic and departmental activities.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Economics, Accounting, Commerce or a closely related field.
• Qualification must include sufficient Economics and Accounting modules to lecture the subjects listed.
• Strong knowledge of Economics and Accounting principles.
• Ability and confidence to lecture Economics and Accounting at tertiary level.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Comfortable working with students in a higher education environment.
