Early Years Educator

About the role

Reddam House Waterfall, part of the Inspired Education group of private schools, is looking for a warm, dedicated and professionally minded Early Learning teacher. You will work with children aged two to six years old in a co-educational, non-denominational school that welcomes children from 1 year old to Grade 12. Experience of the Reggio Emilia approach is an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging learning experiences and support children holistically across their daily routines
• Maintain a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment
• Document children's progress through Arc Pathways
• Build positive relationships with families and contribute to school events and duties
• Work closely with the Stage Head, teaching assistants and the wider Early Learning School team
• Take part in the aftercare Adventure Zone programme

Required profile

• A recognised ECD qualification, or substantial relevant experience
• Current SACE registration (if applicable)
• The legal right to live and work in South Africa
• Genuine passion for working with young children
• Physical readiness for an early years classroom, including floor-level play, lifting and outdoor supervision
• Commitment to child safeguarding; pre-employment background checks are carried out
