Early Childhood Development Implementation and Training Coordinator

About the role

The Early Childhood Development Implementation and Training Coordinator is the lead technical expert for SPAC’s ECD programme, ensuring that best‑practice early childhood principles are embedded across all centres in the Republic of Congo. The role combines programme oversight, teacher training, and quality assurance to raise the standard of early learning while integrating conservation awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the ECD programme reflects current best practice and SPAC’s holistic, play‑based learning principles.
• Design and deliver training workshops for teachers, supervisors and centre managers, including induction for new staff.
• Conduct classroom observations, coaching, mentoring and regular training missions (minimum three visits per year to Congo).
• Monitor implementation, identify improvement areas and provide technical recommendations to programme leadership.
• Support the development of a high‑quality learning environment and a culture of continuous professional growth across all centres.

Required profile

• Strong background in early childhood development, preferably with experience in low‑resource or rural settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme directors, education coordinators and on‑the‑ground staff.
• Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations in the Republic of Congo.
• Proficiency in English; French language skills are highly desirable.
