Driver & Inventory Controller (3-Month Contract)

About the role

A 3-month fixed-term contract offering a hands-on mix of customer deliveries across Gauteng and practical inventory control from an Alrode warehouse. The employer is a wholesale operation supplying 4x4 and vehicle accessories.

Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled and ad hoc deliveries and collections
• Check loads, secure goods and manage proof of delivery documents
• Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes, and investigate stock discrepancies
• Check incoming stock and product codes, and help keep stock organised, accurate and dispatch-ready
• Look after the company vehicle and complete daily checks

Required profile

• Valid Code 8/B driver's licence; Code 10/C1 is a bonus
• PrDP where legally required
• 2+ years of professional delivery or commercial driving experience
• 1+ year of warehouse, inventory or stock-control experience
• Good knowledge of Gauteng roads
• Ability to handle bulky warehouse products safely
• Experience in automotive accessories, aftermarket parts or wholesale distribution is useful

Required skills

• Basic Excel and computer skills
• Strong accuracy, reliability and a hands-on attitude

The proposed salary is R12,000 to R15,000 per month, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
