Dispatch Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Dispatch Clerk to support our logistics operations at Ikwezi Mining in Cape Town. The role ensures smooth dispatch of loads, accurate documentation and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health & safety compliance with all EHS guidelines and procedures.
• Execute the full SAP dispatch process, including invoicing and credit‑limit monitoring.
• Verify that every load has complete documentation (SAP records, STB slip, weighbridge slip).
• Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email or other channels.
• Allocate the appropriate truck to each load and coordinate scheduling.
• Report equipment repairs to the Maintenance Department and investigate any damage incidents.
• Keep accurate records of dispatched loads and incident reports.
• Perform additional duties as directed, adhering to the Integrated Management System and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in an administrative or logistics support role.
• Industry experience in mining or related sectors is advantageous.
• Customer‑service orientation with strong communication abilities.
• Safety‑mindset and ability to follow EHS procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
