Director of Rooms – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Director of Rooms will report directly to the General Manager and lead the Housekeeping and Front Office functions at Pullman Hotel Cape Town City Center. This senior position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Front Office Guest Services and Housekeeping, ensuring all service standards are consistently met.
• Implement ACCOR PREMIUM Core Standards to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence.
• Develop, monitor, and control departmental budgets, financial outlooks, and purchases in line with the hotel’s Annual Budget and Strategic Plan.
• Lead staffing, productivity, and performance targets, taking corrective action as needed.
• Participate as a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to strategic decisions and special projects.
• Foster a solution‑oriented work environment that motivates and engages colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior hotel rooms‑division management, reporting to senior leadership.
• Strong ability to exceed guest expectations and uphold brand standards.
• Demonstrated competence in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
• Leadership skills to inspire teams, manage change, and drive a culture aligned with Accor Premium principles.
