About the role

The Director of Risk Advisory Services will lead strategic risk and internal audit initiatives for clients in the mining and telecommunications sectors. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape governance frameworks, enhance risk management practices, and drive business growth across a diverse portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the internal audit and risk advisory practice.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, boards, and audit committees, building long‑term client relationships.
• Oversee delivery of complex internal audit, risk management, and governance engagements, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, lead proposal development and client pitches, and contribute to revenue targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams, supporting succession planning and professional development.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CIA (essential); CISA is highly advantageous.
• Approximately 12 years of experience leading internal audit, risk management, and advisory engagements, preferably within mining or telecommunications.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and client relationship management.
