Digital Marketing Analytics Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Analytics Analyst to strengthen our in‑house digital marketing team within the insurance sector. The role focuses on organic growth channels—SEO, AI‑driven search visibility, content marketing, and website analytics—to understand how audiences discover our brand and to turn data into actionable strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse organic search performance (rankings, impressions, clicks, traffic, engagement, conversions) and conduct keyword and intent research for the South African insurance market.
• Perform technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data) and collaborate with developers to prioritise fixes.
• Track AI search visibility across platforms such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot, and develop optimisation tactics for answer‑engine and generative‑engine results.
• Measure content performance across the funnel, maintain a data‑informed content calendar, and provide briefs for new or refreshed content that meets E‑E‑A‑T standards.
• Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly organic performance reports, build dashboards in Looker Studio or Power BI, and ensure accurate tracking via GA4, Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret rankings, traffic, and content data and explain underlying causes.
• Experience working with organic channels in a regulated financial services environment, particularly the South African insurance market.
• Ability to collaborate with developers, writers, and channel specialists to implement SEO and AI‑search recommendations.
