Digital Editor

About the role

The Digital Editor leads the creation, execution and optimisation of digital content across websites, social media, newsletters and other channels, aligning with client objectives and digital strategies. This role combines editorial leadership, content management and community partnership to deliver engaging experiences that grow audiences and drive business results.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee content production for websites, social platforms, newsletters and digital campaigns, ensuring alignment with editorial calendars and cultural moments.
• Provide editorial direction and feedback to Digital Content Creators, Designers and Social Media Managers, maintaining quality, consistency and brand alignment.
• Lead, mentor and manage the digital content team, coordinating workflows, reviews and timelines to deliver high‑standard outputs.
• Manage community engagement, working with the Social Media Manager to foster audience loyalty, user‑generated content and brand advocacy.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies, recommending new formats and storytelling approaches.
• Collaborate with editorial, account and production teams to ensure seamless delivery of digital experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital editorial or content leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of multi‑platform content strategies and audience engagement.
• Ability to lead and develop creative teams, managing workflows and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Analytical mindset to interpret performance data and optimise content.
