DevSecOps Engineer – Hybrid (Cape Town)

About the role

Morae is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join its Cape Town team on a hybrid basis. You will help design, build and secure the CI/CD pipelines that power AI‑driven legal technology solutions for leading law firms and corporate legal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Embed security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support Azure cloud environments and related engineering platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and QA teams to improve developer experience.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps or Platform Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration and problem‑solving abilities.
• Based in Cape Town and able to work on‑site three days a week.

Required skills

• Azure cloud platform.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
• Containerisation and modern DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Security integration into delivery pipelines.
