Design Engineering Manager

About the role

We are a well‑established engineering company that designs, manufactures and supplies vibrating equipment for the mining industry. We are looking for a skilled Design Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in Montana Park, Pretoria and drive product development, validation and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Ansys for components and complete structures.
• Manage all engineering activities related to the company’s operations, including validation and control of equipment designs.
• Develop production drawings, prepare professional tenders and compile Bills of Materials.
• Conduct site visits for technical discussions, measurements and client meetings.
• Lead new product and part development, create Gantt charts for project tracking and support engineering staff.
• Continuously improve products and engineering solutions.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in engineering design within manufacturing, mining or a related environment.
• BSc Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
