Design Associate

About the role

Sole Distribution is seeking a talented and highly creative Design Associate to support the development of seasonal collections for brands such as Rossimoda, Sprayground, Kangol and private label lines. Working closely with the Head of Design and the product development team, you will translate creative direction into accurate, supplier‑ready design outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with seasonal trend research, mood boards and range development.
• Create and update CADs, colourways, product mock‑ups and artwork placements.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs, technical drawings and supplier amendment sheets.
• Support sample reviews, fit comments, construction notes and quality feedback.
• Assist with fabric, trim, colour and branding specifications.
• Prepare range boards, presentations and product development documentation.
• Ensure design files are correctly named, updated and stored in the central system.
• Support supplier communication and resolve technical or design queries.
• Work across multiple brands while maintaining each brand’s identity and standards.
• Assist the Head of Design with day‑to‑day execution and seasonal deadlines.

Required profile

• Qualification in Fashion Design, Clothing Management, Product Development or a related field.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Ability to create accurate CADs and technical drawings.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of tech packs, garment construction, fabrics and trims.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Capacity to manage multiple deadlines across several brands.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative attitude with a strong interest in fashion, streetwear, footwear and commercial product development.
