Dental Laboratory Assistant – Rosebank, Johannesburg

About the role

A high‑tech dental practice in Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Dental Laboratory Assistant to support both laboratory and clinical teams. You will help fabricate dental appliances, maintain workflow efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards in a digitally driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pour, trim and finish dental models from impressions.
• Fabricate bleaching trays, retainers and other dental appliances.
• Assist with fabrication, adjustment, repair and modification of dental prosthetics.
• Work with moulds, digital impressions and clinical measurements.
• Perform quality checks on all laboratory work.
• Prepare, label, store and organise laboratory materials and equipment.
• Pack, organise and dispatch completed laboratory cases.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and a clean, organised workspace.
• Monitor stock and consumables.
• Support implant and digital dentistry workflows.
• Accurately record case information and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Dental Laboratory Assistant or similar role.
• Certificate or short course in Dental Laboratory Assistance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, laboratory materials and prosthetic fabrication techniques.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and digital systems.
