Demand Planner – Supply Chain Management

About the role

Develop and maintain forecast models using supply chain resources and demand processes, integrating business intelligence from sales, marketing, finance and other functions to meet sales targets while minimizing operating costs and maintaining optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage demand forecasts, analyse trends and measure performance to ensure alignment with business plans.
• Monitor forecast reports for accuracy and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• Manage inventory targets to guarantee stock availability for current and future demand.
• Maintain demand planning systems and procedures, ensuring accurate data documentation and incorporation of market intelligence.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or Logistics Management.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand planning or forecasting.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with good working knowledge of advanced Excel.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with SAP/APO or Oracle Demand Planning (or similar demand planning software).
• Knowledge of forecasting methods and analytics.
