DC Dispatch Trainee Manager (Night Shift)

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Stikland, Cape Town is looking for a DC Dispatch Trainee Manager to join the night‑shift team. The role focuses on achieving operational excellence within the distribution centre, ensuring legal and customer requirements are met while supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and forecast department resources to meet daily order volumes and maintain wave item clearing within two days.
• Optimize route and space planning, manage vehicle utilisation and oversee timely order picking, processing and delivery.
• Manage personnel issues, supervise staff performance, conduct training and enforce Dis‑Chem policies.
• Maintain accurate administration, GWP/SHE compliance, and update standard operating procedures.
• Resolve internal and external customer queries, ensure full and on‑time deliveries, and monitor security and shrinkage indicators.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric with a degree or diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in distribution, logistics or supply‑chain environments.
• South African citizenship, clear criminal and credit record, and a valid driver’s licence with reliable transport.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP EWM or other ERP systems.
• Proficiency in logistics planning and forecasting tools.
