Data Surveillance Analyst

About the role

Parexel is seeking a Data Surveillance Analyst to support the Data Surveillance process across clinical studies. The role is fully remote for candidates based in South Africa, Lithuania, Serbia or Romania and involves analysing scientific and operational data, developing surveillance plans and presenting findings to project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and configure Data Surveillance Plans, including Key Risk Indicators, Quality Tolerance Limits and central statistical analysis.
• Set up and maintain CluePoints Central Monitoring Platform, creating data import mappings, KRIs and statistical parameters.
• Review project data, document findings in DS Findings Form and issue tracking systems, and provide feedback to technology teams.
• Identify data quality trends, outliers and emergent issues, and recommend appropriate follow‑up actions.
• Participate in internal and external Data Surveillance meetings, audits and regulatory inspections, and communicate critical issues to project leads.
• Support Project Leads during DS review meetings, compile signals into client‑ready lists and complete Central Monitoring Reports.

Required profile

• University degree in medical, biological science, pharmacy or data analytics.
• Fluent English.
• Basic experience with SAS or R programming.
• Experience with Risk‑Based Quality Management (RBQM) and data surveillance methods.
• Familiarity with centralized monitoring and data‑driven monitoring practices.
