Data Analyst – Business Intelligence (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Operations team at MRI Software. Based in our Cape Town office, you will support data quality, enrichment and analysis across CRM and related systems, helping to ensure accurate and consistent information for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Research, create and maintain account and contact records in CRM according to project requirements.
• Validate, update and manage key data fields such as company attributes, contact roles, account hierarchies and segmentation.
• Enrich datasets using approved internal and external sources to improve accuracy and usability.
• Apply standard naming conventions, data logic and business rules when creating or updating records.
• Analyse data sets to identify inconsistencies, gaps and improvement opportunities, taking corrective action.
• Maintain clear audit trails and documentation of all data updates and enrichment activities.
• Deliver assigned data initiatives on time while adhering to quality and governance standards.
• Collaborate with BI, operations and cross‑functional teams to interpret data requirements and validation rules.
• Identify recurring data issues, trends and root causes and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple data initiatives.
• Solid analytical thinking with a focus on data quality.
• Experience working with CRM systems and data validation processes.
