Cyber Security Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader on a remote basis. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical infrastructure and sensitive data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
