Creditors & Finance Administrator

About the role

A food manufacturing company needs a Creditors & Finance Administrator to keep financial processing and supplier payments highly accurate. The role is based full-time in the office at the Cape Town premises, Monday to Friday (07:00 - 16:30), and supports the wider finance team with creditors reconciliations, audit-ready document control and finance administration.

Key responsibilities

• Process local supplier invoices and credit notes in Pastel, ensuring accuracy and correct general ledger coding.
• Carry out monthly supplier statement reconciliation to keep accounting records accurate.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs (7th, 14th, 25th and month-end) according to organisational guidelines.
• Resolve supplier queries quickly and maintain good professional relationships.
• Verify and upload incoming invoices to the digital audit repository, checking VAT compliance, purchase order matches, GL accuracy and authorisation evidence.
• Maintain complete physical and digital audit-ready supplier files.
• Oversee petty cash control and stationery management, and provide administrative support to the debtors department.

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounts payable / creditors clerk experience.
• Demonstrated experience with monthly reconciliation and general ledger coding.
• Solid understanding of VAT compliance, purchase order matching and audit control.
• Strong written and verbal communication, high attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
