Costing & Contracts Manager – Steel Construction (Rustenburg)

About the role

A well‑established steel‑construction organisation in Rustenburg is looking for an experienced Costing & Contracts Manager. The role covers detailed costing, contractual administration and commercial management for steel‑fabrication and mining projects. You will apply FIDIC and NEC3 frameworks while ensuring risk, compliance and profitability are tightly controlled.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed costings for steel‑construction and fabrication projects.
• Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims and compliance.
• Oversee commercial risk, cost control and profitability.
• Apply FIDIC and NEC3 contractual frameworks to project execution and dispute resolution.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, project managers and site teams.
• Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare commercial reports, cost summaries and contract‑status updates.

Required profile

• Bilingual with strong communication skills and a clear criminal record.
• Must pass an Occupational Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager in steel fabrication.
• Mining‑sector experience and strong negotiation skills are highly advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications such as BSc Construction Management, Engineering Degree, Quantity Surveying, PMP, MBA or Law degree.
