Content Editor & AI Content Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Userpilot is seeking a Content Editor / AI Content Engineer to enhance our visibility across traditional search and AI‑generated answers, and to develop AI‑assisted workflows that keep our content library accurate and up‑to‑date. This full‑time remote role blends editorial responsibilities with AI workflow engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO) strategies to secure citations on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini and other platforms.
• Track citation share and brand visibility on AI platforms using tools such as Profound or Otterly.ai, and translate insights into content updates.
• Design, build and maintain Claude‑based workflows for drafting, editing, tagging and updating a large content library, establishing quality checkpoints.
• Run content update playbooks to keep older articles ranking and cited over time.
• Hire, onboard and manage freelance writers, content agencies, video editors and AI agents, reviewing their output to the same standards as internal editors.
• Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Content Project Manager on content strategy, keyword research and topic planning, write briefs, proofread and QA all published material.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building content workflows with Claude or comparable AI tools.
• Working knowledge of AEO, GEO and AIO concepts.
• Exceptional proofreading, editing and writing abilities, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Strong SEO fundamentals and familiarity with Ahrefs, Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Proven experience hiring and managing freelancers, agencies or AI agents.
• Excellent attention to detail, project‑management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Patience and capability to coach writers and cross‑functional teams.
