Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM)

About the role

The Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) will lead the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Based on‑site in Centurion, the role ensures projects meet scope, schedule, budget and quality standards while complying with client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks to keep delivery on track.
• Prepare, review and manage project documentation, reports and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes.
• Support sustainable and cost‑effective project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering construction projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Strong project management and coordination abilities, including planning, scheduling and stakeholder management.
• Professional registration or eligibility for Pr.CPM and a relevant tertiary qualification (construction management, civil engineering, etc.).
• Knowledge of South African construction standards, regulations and contract forms.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and external contractors with strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of producing clear reports.
• Demonstrated ability to work on‑site and manage multiple workstreams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Advanced use of MS Office tools for documentation, scheduling and reporting.
