Computer Systems Engineering & Technical Support Instructor

About the role

Hlotse Computer Training Centre (HCTC) is seeking a full‑time Instructor to deliver both theoretical and hands‑on training in Computer Systems Engineering and Technical Support. The successful candidate will prepare students for careers in the modern ICT industry by combining classroom instruction with practical lab work.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum covering computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct laboratory sessions for desktop/laptop assembly, hardware diagnostics, and repair.
• Guide students through software installation, system optimization, and malware removal.
• Assess student performance through assignments, practical exercises, and examinations.
• Maintain training equipment and ensure a safe, functional learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Technical Support, or a related field.
• At least one (1) year of teaching or training experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for mentoring students and fostering practical ICT skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the academic team.
