Commissioned Financial Adviser – Somerset West

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a self‑motivated Commissioned Financial Adviser to join its Somerset West team. You will act as a trusted partner to customers, helping them achieve long‑term financial goals through tailored advice and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify clients' financial needs and provide sound, compliant advice.
• Design and implement fit‑for‑purpose financial plans and product solutions.
• Generate new business by prospecting and converting leads.
• Expand sales of existing products and services to current customers.
• Maintain a personal pipeline of leads and manage the sales process end‑to‑end.

Required profile

• Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12/NQF 4) or equivalent.
• At least 24 months of experience in the financial services industry.
• Successful completion of the Regulatory Examination (RE5) and relevant CPD points.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Clean criminal record and ability to meet compliance requirements.

• Consultative selling and direct sales techniques.
• Strong customer‑focused communication and relationship building.
• Ability to probe, qualify prospects and identify sales opportunities.
• Proficiency in using sales software and managing sales data.
